Paffy goes to America

Death in Tuscany opens Paffy’s eyes.
Not only Italy, the entire continent of Europe does not seem to be ready for his art. He belongs in America, the land of golden opportunities!

Ipaic hears about Paffy’s plan and calls Ping, owner of Pong Records, saying with a tone of satisfaction, “There is no longer any danger. Paffy is on his way to America!”
“What? America? Do whatever you can to stop the Doghead!” shouts Ping, afraid that in America they may learn about Paffy’s AHT, and that would ruin the international market for the fakes and forgeries he has signed.

Paffy has reserved a flight to Nowhereville in the Wild West, because the weather is better down there compared to the East Coast, and there is far less competition.
He brings his handcrafted Puifar, made by the Italian luither Canova, in a big Puifar case. Mr. Canova had urged Paffy to take the Puifar on board with him as a carry-on, but at the check-in counter Paffy is stopped by a hostile airline employee..Ipaic!

Ipaic has sneaked behind the check-in counter, cleverly disguised as Ipaic, and informs Paffy that it is not allowed to bring anything as oversized as a Puifar on board, unless he pays for two extra seats. Ipaic hopes, knowing the Doghead is always out of cash, that Paffy will cancel his reservation. Instead Paffy purchases two extra seats with the last available money on his last credit card..
This unexpected expense maxes out his last credit card.
Now he doesn’t even have enough money to pay for a hotel!

Paffy va in America

La Morte in Toscana gli apre gli occhi. Non solo l’Italia, l’intero continente europea non sembra pronto per la sua arte. Egli appartiene in America, la terra delle opportunità d’oro!

Nel frattempo Ipaic è al telefono con Ping, il titolare di Pong Records, e gli dice con un tono soddisfatto, “Il pericolo è passato! Paffy è in partenza per l’America!”
“Come? L’America?” esclama Ping, ”Fa tutto il possibile per fermare il Testa di Cane!”, temendo che in America possano scoprire l’AHT di Paffy, e questo potrebbe rovinare il mercato internazionale per tutti i finti e falsi che Ping ha sotto contratto.

Paffy ha prenotato un volo a Nowhereville nel Selvaggio West, perché il tempo è migliore laggiù rispetto alla East Coast, e c’è meno concorrenza.
Porta la sua Pifarra artigianale con sé, uno strumento costruito dal liutaio Canova. Lo strumento richiede una custodia molto grande. Il Sig. Canova aveva istruito Paffy di portare lo Pifarra a bordo con se, ma al banco del check-in Paffy viene fermato da un impiegato aeroportuale ostile…
Ipaic!!

Ipaic si era intruffolato dietro il banco del check-in, furbamente mascherato da Ipaic, per informare Paffy che non è ammesso di portare la Pifarra a bordo, tranne se egli dovesse comprare due posti in più.
Ipaic s’aspetta che Paffy cancelli la prenotazione all’istante, sapendo che il Testa di Cane è sempre a corto di denaro. Invece Paffy acquista due posti in più con gli ultimi soldi disponibili sulla sua ultima carta di credito.
Questa spesa imprevista rende la sua ultima carta priva di disponibilità..
Ora non ha nemmeno i soldi per pagare un albergo…
